Despite being a surprise choice for the CM’s post in Tamil Nadu, Edappadi K Palaniswami managed to steer a vastly unpopular govt. EPS understood the uncertainty of his political future after the next general elections and preferred O Panneerselvam and his 10 MLAs to the Mannargudi clan. While OPS became party chief, EPS positioned himself right under OPS’s skin.
